A few things worth knowing

What to expect

Expect food, dancing, colourful outfits, music, and warm, welcoming people. Indian weddings are joyous, social affairs, so don’t be shy: get involved, ask questions, and join in the dancing.

Following the ceremony

The rituals are conducted in Kannada and Sanskrit. We’ll have printouts on hand explaining each one, so you can follow along.

Food

Expect a wide variety of Indian dishes, vegetarian and non‑vegetarian, served banana‑leaf style or buffet‑style, with regional specialties and guest favourites.
